We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Work Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) Job Description: The Material Handler is responsible for maneuvering material throughout the factory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
  • Ability to participate in minor data entry
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to read a blueprint
  • Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
  • Climb portable ladders
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.
  • Able to climb a portable ladder
  • Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.
  • Able to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for moving materials and components about the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Maintains a steady flow of parts through workstations
  • Coordinates material flow to ensure packing and shipping schedule
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of incoming and outbound trucks
  • Minor data entry tasks
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-production area with minimal supervision
  • All other duties as requested by management
