About The Position

This position is mainly working in our dish room and handling materials for our Food and Nutrition Department. Team member will be responsible for unloading deliveries, stocking deliveries, and using a pull forklift. Team member will be lifting heavy amounts and pushing, pulling, and bending. Details: This position will work full-time, 40 hours per week. Team member will work rotating shifts. The shifts times are 7:30am until 3:30pm and 12:30pm until 9:00pm. Team member will be required to work rotating weekends and holidays. This position is eligible for shift pay differentials. Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for a diverse customer base. The customer base includes patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public. The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
• No experience required
• Requires knowledge of basic food safety; infection control and sanitation
• Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location
• ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred
• Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Also, requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling
