About The Position

Job Summary: As a Material Handler at Permian Plastics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that production machines are adequately supplied with materials, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and supporting supervisors in maximizing shift production. This position requires a proactive approach in a fast-paced physical environment. Key Responsibilities: - Stage and supply production machines with necessary materials as required. - Clean and fill dryers in preparation for upcoming jobs. - Label and tag job changes accurately. - Maintain grinding jobs to ensure efficiency. - Operate moving equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to safely and efficiently move inventory throughout the warehouse. - Complete necessary forms, reports, logs, and labels for materials. - Assemble containers and crates for production needs. - Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Skills and Qualifications: - Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. (We will train you) - Strong attention to detail for labeling and reporting. - Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labor. - Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean workspace. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting supervisors and colleagues. Requirements

  • Good attendance and reliability
  • Ability to operate a forklift (sitting) and pallet jack (we can/will train you)
  • Ability to use and operate a pallet jack
  • Reading and basic math skills
  • Ability to physically move or lift 25 - 55 pounds regularly
  • Ability to climb, lift, stoop, bend, and stand for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to wear steel-toed shoes

Responsibilities
