About The Position

This position is based within the distribution center environment, supporting the receiving and shipping teams with product put-aways and frequent forklift operation. The qualified candidate possesses a great work ethic, has the skills and experience to perform assigned tasks both safely and efficiently, is able to learn new tasks in a short period of time and wants to contribute to a successful team environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • A demonstrated commitment to always working safely.
  • Previous forklift experience with both stand-up and sit-down models.
  • Previous material handling experience.
  • Experience in loading and unloading trucks.
  • The ability to lift to 50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Knowledge and effective use of a computer: data entry, Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of job performance.
  • Commitment to performing quality work.
  • Experience using an RF Scanner.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • An understanding and commitment to working in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Various other tasks associated with a warehouse environment and other duties as assigned by Team Leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous industrial distribution experience is beneficial.
  • Previous fastener knowledge is desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
  • Operate a forklift and other powered equipment to move product throughout the warehouse, and stack/pull from various locations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in the distribution center.
  • Breakdown pallets/sort packages to be received.
  • Move inventory to designated areas using the RF scanner.
  • Ensure inventory is labeled properly and place in the correct location.
  • Complete consolidation of inventory as stock levels decreases.
  • Light kitting and assembly work as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • An understanding and commitment to working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Various other tasks associated with a warehouse environment and other duties as assigned by Team Leaders.
