About The Position

The responsibility of the Material Handler is to optimize the profitability of Flower City by performing to the highest level of efficiency and tasks listed below. Through these activities, it will ensure that the highest level of productivity is consistently achieved. Schedule This position is for our B Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM (Midnight) Candidates must be willing to train on our A Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM •    Training may last up to four weeks, depending on your learning pace and readiness to transition independently to the B Shift.

  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, and perform repetitive motion.
  • Required to see color and use depth perception.

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year degree or equivalent from a technical school preferred
  • Two (2) years of work experience or an equivalent of four (4) years in the industry
  • Packaging experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Load and ship all outgoing material.
  • Receive finished Kitpacking materials and ensure accuracy of materials and shipments by verifying vendor, Sku/part number, quantity received in compliance to Pallet tag.
  • Pull orders to ship and check accuracy of orders.
  • Process & put away customer finished goods orders.
  • Band and shrink-wrap customer orders for shipping.
  • Clean and maintain shipping area.
  • Inspect and operate all material handling equipment.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.
