Material Handler AM/PM 12 hour shifts

Requirements

• Read, write and speak English
• Past experience / proven ability
• Be capable of using basic mathematics.
• Be trained in and understand safety and efficiently perform the operations in this job description.
• Perform those duties that it may; from time to time, be necessary to change or add to the Job.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Abide by all plant rules and safety regulations in the performance of the duties specified here in.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Materials Insure the timely delivery of packaging and raw materials to maintain continuous operation of equipment.
• Materials to be staged in the designated area around the appropriate machine in an orderly fashion.
• Load cartons and bags to insure supply of finished goods cartons. Preparation of any special materials that may require manual mixing.
• Packaging of Finished Goods Packaging of finished product and building palletized loads to customer specifications.
• Monitoring and operation of automated packaging equipment to insure proper performance.
• Applying appropriate labels of packaging slips for product identification. Removal of finished goods pallets to warehouse staging area.
• Handling of Operation Scrap Labeling and removal process generated scrap to appropriate area. Grinding of plastic components for the purpose of materials reuse.
• Shop floor Management Participation Participate in daily team meeting. Contribute / implement ideas to improve operations performances.
• Other Duties as Assigned Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.
