While reporting to the Team Lead as a Material Handler, you’ll play a key role in the movement and organization of raw materials and finished wood reels throughout the facility. You’ll work closely with production, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure materials are delivered efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent attendance is crucial to ensure the team's success.
  • A proven record of success in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • You must be able to collaborate well with different teams and be attentive to identifying discrepancies.
  • You'll take pride in your analytical and hands-on abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Physical requirements include being able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours.
  • You should be able to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions.
  • You'll be required to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations a plus

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport wood components and finished reels using forklifts and other equipment
  • Collaborate with production team members to facilitate product/material flow and achieve critical line metrics.
  • Assist the plant in various areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and department, as well as 5S standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of quantities loaded or unloaded.
  • Execute all tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct a daily inspection of the material handling equipment.
