Assist in the adjustment works of machinery, ensuring proper tool and equipment connections during the process. Monitor and react to changes in production processes, manage material flow, and verify part dimensions against technical drawings. Supply oils and liquids such as cleaners and coolants needed for production, and classify and store finished products as required. Maintain a clean and orderly workbench, machine, and workplace. Support in the modification, adjustment, and maintenance of machinery as needed. Material Handler Night shift 2,2,3 (12 hour rotational work schedule) Moves, delivers, and stores raw materials and finished goods in Production or Warehouse areas. Maintains accurate inventories of all materials. Works directly under the supervision of Huhtamaki management.

Responsibilities

  • Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and use safe working methods and procedures at all times to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.
  • Move material through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, etc.) as required.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events and teams.
  • Use the computer to dispense and receive information such as product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
  • Complete paperwork to properly document work performed.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Conduct material audits.
  • General housekeeping in production or warehouse departments.
  • Maintain department cleanliness to AIB standards.
  • Operate Material handling equipment.
  • Participate in AIB Housekeeping and Food Safety Programs.
  • Provide plant housekeeping support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
