This is a fulltime job opportunity working 40 hours a week. There is No Per Diem and No relocation funding. Material Handler The Material Handler will assist with the operation of multiple loading racks consisting of a truck loading rack, rail rack, by performing loading/unloading activities. Loaders will rotate into a work team of Bulk Loaders, to handle loading and unloading of railcars and tanker trucks. Assist with terminal / distribution operations by performing loading and unloading hazardous chemicals (nitric Acid, Anhydrous Ammonia, etc.) via truck and tanker/hopper rail car. Rehandle off-spec product. Mix, heat, filter, and pull samples to ensure product conformity. Assist operations with tank alignment with transfers of hazardous chemicals for proper valve alignment, sampling techniques, safety exposures, environmental consideration, and follow Standard operating procedures. Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal site. Assist with terminal maintenance duties as needed maintaining equipment in operating condition. Pull samples as per Standard Operating Procedure for chemical analysis to guarantee product integrity. Input information into electronic hand-held device which documents Standard Operating Procedure, load out activities, and tank production/spec information. Load trucks, railcars and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant Units. Track mobile movement & spot railcars and tanker trailers. Heavy Machinery operations (Front End Loader & Dump Truck) Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise. Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; working at heights; balance for extended periods of time. Special assignment duties and call out as required.

Requirements

  • Education : no minimum education requirements.
  • Must pass background check, pre-employment physical including drug, hearing, vision, Pulmonary function, respirator fit test (cannot have a beard), and range of motion testing.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
  • Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in handling Liquid and Dry products for agricultural and industrial use, preferred.
