About The Position

Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines and to ensure material availability and deliver when needed to meet production schedules. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• With 1-3 years experience in a Material Handler position or equivalent experience
• May require a high school diploma or GED
• Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures in a warehouse environment
• Ability to use a computer.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).

Nice To Haves

• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision moves parts and materials throughout the facilities (3).
• Sustains part protection packaging and inventory levels.
• Restocks Part Protection Kiosks throughout facilities (3).
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
• Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Use hand trucks, fork lifts, electric pallet jack, and carts to move parts and materials.
• General knowledge and use of computers.
