About The Position

Position Summary / A Material Handler/Manufacturing handles, moves, and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include the physical and electronic movement of inventory as it relates to the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Able to use overhead cranes.
  • Has a knowledge of rigging.
  • Focused and able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be manage time effectively to meet deadlines and stay productive.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear and talk.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands.
  • The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all parts needed for assembly jobs by consolidating and organizing all purchased and manufactured parts, pulling parts from inventory according to job specific pick lists, and verifying and marking all parts on assembly Bill of Materials.
  • Consolidate and organize all loose parts for assembly jobs prior to shipping.
  • Identify and locate product/raw materials for manufacturing jobs.
  • Verify and maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Group to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and consumables.
  • Collaborate with Shipping/Receiving to fulfil customer requirements.
