About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Material Handlers use the pick‑to‑voice system to meet accuracy and rate standard. Must understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals. POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Works within Standard work, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications to operate equipment, and get defined output. Select and install proper tooling and equipment required to produce desired parts. Ensure accurate set-up following company practice and procedures. Gathering materials or parts from areas other than the employee's workstation may include immediate adjacent areas or racks into which materials and parts may be placed by others for the use in that specific workstation. Select, inspect and machine material. Troubleshoot material and machine problems. Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives. Serve as a member of the manufacturing team, providing assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in a related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
  • Basic reading, writing, and shop math skills are required
  • Must be able to operate and interact with pick to voice system
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Dependability/punctuality
  • Must be able to successfully complete internal skills testing.
  • High School Graduate/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification upon hire.
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hrs
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs (Some position may require lifting up to 75 lbs.)
  • Ability to lift and maneuver bulky product.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift product throughout the assembly process.
