About The Position

Temp Material Handler Needed in Lumberton, NC Job Summary Wrap, band, box and prepare truck shipments for water solutions client producing plumbing and heating products. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm + Saturday overtime Duties and Responsibilities Pack all export orders and provide sales with appropriate information for export documents. Pack regular orders and touch up all materials when necessary or return materials to proper location if unable to ship. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Load and unload material onto or form pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled daily production sheet. Run labels/BOL for shipments. Load and unload trucks Before product is shipped, check shipping copies, export documentation, and bills of lading for accuracy. Support other shipping functions deemed necessary by supervisor/and or company. Other related duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Sit-down forklift operating experience required
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have great communication skills.
  • Must be able to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to use a staple gun and build crates.
  • Must have assembly/machine operating and forklift operating experience
  • Must be willing to work overtime with short notice.
  • Forklift Operating & Scanner Experience Required
  • Submit to Drug Screen and Background Search
