About The Position

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! Responsibilities: Primary Functions: Performs the following tasks: Ensures timely delivery of consumable materials to production lines. Disposes of non-conforming materials and waste. Uses fork truck, hand truck pallet jack, or similar equipment to transfer materials and products. Transfers returnable containers and finished goods between loading docks and operator stations. Moves materials and/or finished goods to and from satellite storage buildings, as required. Shrink wraps pallets of finished goods to prepare for shipment. Assists with housekeeping tasks. Flexibility of working overtime hours is necessary. Performs necessary functions to adhere to safety standards. Secondary Functions: 1. Makes service calls for fork trucks, as needed. 2. Orders packaging materials upon request, or as otherwise necessary. 3. Assists other personnel, for specific project assignments. 4. May assist production workers with packaging or labeling boxes. 5. Trains personnel as required. 6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Specialized Training: Position is a “Safety-Sensitive Job”. Incumbent will be required to have a minimum of 2 weeks of supervised training due to fork truck use. An additional 1 week minimized supervised training may be needed if incumbent is required to handle chemicals. Equipment/Machinery/Tools Used: Fork truck, hand truck, pallet jack, commercial truck, pallet wrapper. Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes (required), gloves and hearing protection (as required). Qualifications: Educational and Work Experience: - High School Diploma or GED required. - One or more years previous experience in material handling, truck driving, or manufacturing experience required. Specialized Skills/Knowledge: - Incumbent must complete internal fork truck certification course. - Incumbent may be required to complete hazardous waste training. Requirements
