Position Summary The Material Handler will report to the Manufacturing Cell Leader and will be responsible work from appropriate manufacturing orders, which may be in written or verbal instructions. This position needs to ensure that correct materials, quantities and conditioning are ready for production use when required. This position will need to verify that the central material handling system is operating properly and efficiently.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Personal Computer experience
  • Ability to read/understand schedules
  • Use of calculators
  • Hand and Power lift truck operation
  • Excellent work and safety record
  • 5S and Continuous Improvement identification and implementation
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Central Loading system
  • Correct Materials to proper presses
  • Mixing
  • Blending barrels
  • Clean Hopper Driers
  • Trouble shooting system - conveying (plugged lines, etc)
  • Staging Materials for Night shifts
  • Maintaining / cleaning / PM of central loading system filters
  • Verify incoming raw materials match order quantities
  • Store incoming WIP / Components / Material / Boxes
  • Replenish material to press side barrels
  • Control Regrind gaylords (Full or empty)
  • Shed Organization, 5S improvement
  • Labeling Material Barrels
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned
