About The Position

SMS Staffing Inc. is Hiring Immediately for Material Handlers! Job Location: Pleasant Prairie , WI Job Type: Temp to Hire Pay: $18-$19/Hr. Shift Structure: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM About the Role: The job requires the ability to make safe decisions in the moving and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. This position involves safety-sensitive functions.

Requirements

Basic math, writing, and reading skills are required .
Must have at least 2 years of forklift experience.
Minimally lift 50 lbs frequently during the shift.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe handling, storing, labeling, and loading/unloading of materials.
Maintain the integrity of materials stored in the warehouse.
Pull chemicals and components in accordance with special instructions on Picking Lists.
Store materials in various racks, shelves, and floor locations.
Operate Drum Dollies, Forklift, Reach Truck, Power and/or Manual Pallet Jack.
Safely loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
Safely complete tasks and duties as trained.
Complete cycle counts as requested and participate in full physical inventories as scheduled.
Neatly and accurately complete all necessary paperwork applicable to the task.
Report any safety issues, incidents, and/or safety violations immediately to Management.
Wear appropriate PPE, as required.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Execution of activities as assigned.
Responsibilities involving food safety, when required.
