About The Position

Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings is seeking a Material Handler for its Mt. Pleasant, PA facility. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment. Cenveo offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Summary Supplies production with raw materials and relocates finished product to designated area using a handjack.

Requirements

Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months previous experience material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to work at a rapid pace
Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler.
Must be able to become certified to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Supplies raw materials (boxes, cartons, paper, etc) to production machines.
Determines raw material needed at machines by reading job ticket.
Removes product from conveyor and manually stacks onto skids or pallets.
Manually loads raw material or finished product on skid or hand truck.
Places identification labels on full skid loads.
Removes finished products to shipping.
Removes waste from production areas; ensures all the waste is segregated properly, weighed, recorded and placed in the proper waste area.
Communicates with Supervisors, Operators, and Adjusters on and off shift.
Complies with safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire; steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed), is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, always make sure safety guards and contactors are in place and operational. Maintains housekeeping in work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc).
