Requirements

  • Ability to understand/communicate English in oral and written form.
  • Ability to read and understand a production schedule.
  • Ability to pass a fork truck-driving test.
  • Ability to operate fork truck in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift.
  • Ability to wear all PPE (personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toed shoes).
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, hear and speak English proficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DC link is a Plus.
  • 3+ years as a material handler preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Move finished product from production line using fork truck.
  • Utilize scanners to move materials in/out of inventory.
  • Stock production line with raw materials.
  • Weigh all scrap boxes and load onto scrap truck.
  • Removal of all trash in the plant and put in dumpster.
  • Unload trucks bringing raw materials into the plant.
  • Labeling skids to take to staging area.
  • Drive fork truck as needed to move skids and/or supplies in a safe manner.
  • Wear seatbelt at all times when operating fork truck
  • Perform daily inspection of fork truck and report needed repairs to maintenance.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
