About The Position

The Material Handler facilitates production by storing, moving, and delivering production materials and supplies, staging finished products, and maintaining accurate inventory in the warehouse. 90% of Work Time - Some of your daily responsibilities will include: Use Deacom ERP system to pick, move and stage products Work with Supply Chain Department to maintain accurate inventory Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities Perform pre-shift inspection of assigned forklift and report any safety or mechanical issue discovered prior to operation Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives Diligent use of PPE at all times. Other duties as assigned by management team. 10% of Work Time - Material Handlers may be asked to cross train in other departments such as blending or packaging, to temporarily fill in if back up coverage is necessary. Some of your sporadic responsibilities could include: Blending of dry or liquid raw materials to a finished product for commercial, agricultural, and industrial uses. Ensure accurate and precise ingredients are used in each batch. Packaging of finished products into totes, drums, and pails may be required as needed. Turns valves and pours ingredients to fill mixer and pump containers. Package finished product into totes, drums, and pails by using pump, scales or tote/drum filler. Unload trucks and receive in packaged materials into inventory, pull orders from inventory, stage finished products and load finished product for shipment to customer. Load and unload raw materials and finished products into/from tanker trucks and rail cars across campus. Work is completed outdoors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • RF Scanner experience required
  • Verbal and written skills necessary to read and follow instructions
  • Meet dress code of a neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Punctual and diligent in adhering to work schedules
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and cross train between departments.
