About The Position

This is a cross functional first shift material handling position that includes shipping and receiving duties. Hours are 0600 to 1530 Monday through Friday. Position Responsibilities: Inspect all in-coming materials for damage and ensure accompanied by approriate paperwork. Operate ESM Bar Code Scanner and related inventory activities. Complete necessary paperwork in Ariba, Computron and MRP II sytem. Delivery of ordered materials to production or other on site buildings. Prepare materials for shipment. Deliver inter-office mail daily. Monitor, compile, organize, log, and retain import documentation from material imports for the Charles City site in a timely manner. Ensure that required information is available and accurate on documentation to be compliant with all regulation, ie FDA for importation. Create and maintain required Stand Operatoring Proceedures for proper control over the shiping, receiving and compliance process. Strong communication skills required as the liaison among external and internal customers, brokers, and forwarders. Works with shippers/sellers to assure correct and thorough documentation is provided at time of shipment, including pre-shipment review approval. Attended required meetings and trainings for Import Compliance and site. Help in deboxing. Unload trucks, check for damage, ensure material matches. Verify venfor is on ASL. Verify vendor batch number for quality purposes. Verify receipt against PO. Verification of order to receipt-contact buyer to resolve issue. Create QA packet with all docuements received, deliever to QA. Move material to/from ISO. Troubleshoot vendor issues/discrepencies. Enter STO for Lincoln Warehouse items. Watch safety stock numbers. Confirm and check temps on trucks. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior work experience in warehousing desired. Good math and basic computer skills desired, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Email Fork truck experience preferred. Ability to obtain shipment of dangerous goods certification. Prior work experience in warehousing desired. Positive Attitude. Strong Communication skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently. Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures. Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed. Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 50 lbs. Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting. Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Must be able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
