Officially opened in September 2015 as a 232,500 square foot facility, this cutting-edge operation is a powerhouse of innovation and quality. With approximately 400 dedicated Team Members, the Monroe plant specializes in delivering top-tier acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies to companies such as Honda, Toyota, and Subaru. In 2018, UGN invested $50 million in the facility’s growth, adding 150,000 square feet (65%) to plant capacity. The Material Handler – Shipping/Receiving performs all driving and related functions in the movement of materials necessary for the operation of the Materials departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience and/or training.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of Oracle password RF.
  • Forklift truck experience and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-start checklist on forklift.
  • Safe operation of Industrial forklift operation.
  • Maintains cleanliness and operation of equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse, storage areas, and docks, removing and dumping trash or removing recyclables from these and manufacturing areas as necessary to maintain 5s plan.
  • Effectively and efficiently move materials throughout the facility on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
  • Unload incoming trucks and validate the quantity of goods against the packing slip or invoice and create a discrepancy report as necessary.
  • Verify incoming materials for correctness, quantity, note any damage, and place materials in designated locations using FIFO system.
  • Using FIFO system, supply manufacturing with raw materials and shipping containers as required to support production.
  • Use RF Scanner.
  • Load outgoing trucks to meet customer and UGN requirements.
  • Using FIFO system, stage orders to be shipped and verified.
  • Unload customer returns and rejected materials in designated areas and notify Quality Control.
  • Follow the proper shipping procedure for individual customers.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
