Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. on a continuos basis.
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed.
- This position requires the individual to be ready to start work on-time daily and also may require over time when demand fluctuates. Unplanned unapproved / missed-time is required to be less than 2% annually.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Inventory Control and/or with a life science company is a plus.
- Experience using a forklift, handheld scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or E1 (Oracle) software, or lean tools is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Preparing and filing routine documentation.
- Maintaining quality metrics.
- Operating material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, Forklift etc).
- Working in and out of a +4c walk-in Cold Room and -20c walk-in Freezer.
