Material Handler (1st Shift)
About The Position
This role is for a Material Handler, specifically an Entry Level Production Associate, responsible for moving and handling materials like aluminum or glass within a manufacturing facility. The position involves quality inspection and maintaining a safe work environment. Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements
- Must be able to effectively use and read a tape measure to measure product (test will be given in interview)
- Able to lift 75 lbs. throughout your shift as needed
- Flexible work availability (typically Monday through Friday)
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse and or manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Moving and loading/unloading materials, aluminum, or glass by hand in the manufacturing facility
- Inspecting materials for quality and abnormalities
- Utilizing a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specification
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area
- Working in various areas of the manufacturing facility as you learn and train in new skills
- Wrapping doors in cardboard
- Quality checking for scratches
- Stringing the glass stop in the doors
