About The Position

Position Purpose: Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, incoming material receipts, and supply of necessary production parts to assigned areas of the plant. Essential Functions: Loads and unloads trucks with either incoming or outgoing materials. Inventories/counts and moves raw and finished materials from the production floor or storage areas to their intended destination. Operates the company truck to move materials to or from plant. Unloads steel trucks as they arrive and moves steel to storage areas. Operates sit-down lift and high-reach lift trucks as necessary to store or deliver materials. Accurately reports daily activities as required. Material flow, presentation, and replenishment experience preferred. Inventories, prepares and packages aftermarket materials for shipment. Coordinates UPS shipments and receipts. Keeps work areas clean and free of hazards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Area Leader or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
  • Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
  • Must be able to use handheld scanner and/or PC
  • Must follow all safety practices and policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior forklift truck and reach truck experience
  • Material flow, presentation, and replenishment experience
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes such as cycle counting and scrap reporting
