About The Position

The Material Handler ensures materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for distribution by performing the following tasks: Material Preparation & Staging : Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping. Order Fulfillment : Pulls material from stock to fill sales orders accurately. Verification & Documentation : Verifies materials, packs for shipment, and records necessary information on sales orders. Equipment Operation : Safely operates powered industrial equipment (i.e. combilift, side loader, forklift) to move and stage materials. Housekeeping : Maintains a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • Equipment Skills: Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Measurement Skills: Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Technical Skills: Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift. Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses. Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise. PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes required.
