About The Position
About the Role: The Material Handler role at the Northlake, TX location provides support to the Warehouse and Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Read and understand production schedules. Provide production with material requirement. Return packaging materials to packaging warehouse after scheduled runs. Conduct cycle counts of packaging materials and green coffee beans. Fill out all pertinent paperwork correctly. Ensure all material needed for the line are in the proper place and in reach of the operator. Fill out transfer sheet indicating that all materials are transferred to and from location in the gun. Document issues preventing the transfer of materials. May perform other duties as assigned. Important Details: The position is a full time, permanent role for 12-hour day shift, on a 2-2-3 Continental structure 6:00am - 6:30pm (Pay $20.55-$21.63/hr) + $1.00 Shift Differential.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
- Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus
- The ability to work overtime and weekends
