About The Position

As a Material Handler, you are at the center of our manufacturing operation ensuring ingredients, packaging, and finished products move seamlessly through the facility. Your work directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and a commitment to food manufacturing standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • AS400 knowledge
  • 1-2 years of experience operating an industrial powered trucks, primarily sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Stage and deliver raw ingredients and packaging materials to production lines to meet scheduled demand.
  • Transfer unused materials back to designated storage areas following proper procedures.
  • Remove finished product from production lines and position it for storage or shipment.
  • Support dock operations by assisting with inbound and outbound freight.
  • Record all material movements accurately using warehouse management systems and manual tracking tools.
  • Execute FIFO and FEFO practices to ensure freshness and traceability.
  • Monitor material conditions and report damage, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain orderly storage locations to support accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Keep warehouse, production, and staging areas clean, organized, and audit ready.
  • Follow GMPs, food safety regulations, and company safety policies without exception.
  • Partner with production, warehouse, and leadership teams to support daily output goals.
  • Communicate delays, inventory issues, or operational risks in real time.
  • Participate in structured shift transitions to maintain continuity across teams.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operational priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow, layout, and handling processes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in day-to-day operations.
