About The Position

This full-time Material Handler position involves receiving products from various sources, including retail stores, donation sites, and donors. The role requires sorting products into categories for processing, recycling, and storage. Key responsibilities include operating a forklift for loading and unloading materials and trucks, and potentially operating a baler at some locations. The position also entails completing cleaning tasks, conducting and documenting safety inspections regularly, and providing customer service using the Greet, Offer, Thank, and Ask Back protocol. Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour, with potential for annual performance-based increases up to a maximum of $22.28. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with shared premiums, company-paid life insurance, accrued paid vacation and sick leave, immediate access to 8 hours of PTO, and additional longevity PTO. Employees also have access to on-demand payment for earned wages and financial assistance for training, education, and career development. The work schedule is dependent on business needs and includes evening and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Can meet physical requirements to move 50 pound objects routinely
  • Have experience operating a forklift
  • Are comfortable working in a warehouse environment where you will get dirty and be exposed to dust
  • Are comfortable being expected to meet speed and accuracy work goals
  • Are available to work weekends and evenings
  • Work well on independent tasks
  • Have a proven record of being dependable

Responsibilities

  • Receive product from retail stores, donation sites, and donors
  • Sort product into processing, recycling and storage categories
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload materials
  • Unload and load trucks
  • Operate a baler (not all locations)
  • Complete cleaning tasks as needed
  • Regularly conduct and document safety inspections
  • Provide customers service using Greet, Offer, Thank and Ask Back protocol
