This Material Handler position operates Monday to Friday, from 6:15 AM to 3:00 PM, with an hourly rate of $21.50. The role is crucial for maintaining accident-free operations and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Key responsibilities include the daily inspection and safe operation of forklifts, including changing propane tanks. The Material Handler is responsible for timely provision of supplies and materials to extrusion operators and production assistants, such as capping, dunnage boards, boxes, and scrap bins. The role may also involve assisting with wrapping and banding finished materials, moving them to storage, and scanning completed material racks. Further duties include potentially assisting with loading regrind into silos or bags, operating and maintaining grinders, providing production support by staging bins, skids, and raw materials, and assisting with recycling cardboard and other waste products. Depending on the plant location (Wood, PVC, or Rail), the Material Handler may also assist the Receiving Department with loading and unloading trucks and observing/documenting silo readings to ensure sufficient material for daily production. The position requires performing additional duties as assigned by supervision or management.
