Join our team as a Material Handler I, where you’ll play a key role in keeping production moving by safely transporting materials to the assembly lines, supporting the weld, machine shop and fabrication teams, and maintaining an organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass the Multiquip Forklift Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, inventory tags, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic written communication skills for reports and routine documentation
  • Ability to clearly communicate with teams and employees
  • Strong basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs and follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, and hand or air‑powered tools
  • Ability to problem‑solve using common-sense understanding in standard work situations
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent use of hands, arms, and manual dexterity
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand for 10 hours per day in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Exposure to chemicals such as gas, diesel, and related materials
  • Work environment may be loud; hearing protection is required

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials onto pallets, racks, trays, and shelves
  • Move materials between storage areas, production lines, and designated work sites
  • Count, weigh, and document materials handled
  • Tag, label, or mark materials and containers for identification
  • Stack, bundle, and band materials for storage or shipment
  • Safely operate hoists, forklifts (stand‑up and sit‑down), and other material‑handling equipment
  • Locate, stage, and distribute pallets and temporary storage containers
  • Empty cardboard bins into designated recycling and garbage containers
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections
  • Read and interpret part tags to determine next operation and storage destinations
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with leads, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Handle equipment carefully and maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
