About The Position

Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods. In this role, you will work Building 3, C Shift, 11:20PM-7:20PM, Mon-Fri. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.

Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially strong MFG Pro transactional skills.

Nice To Haves

3-5+ year’s previous material handling experience.
Solid interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical aptitude and logical problem solving skills.
Skilled in working independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.
Be motivated towards productivity, safety and quality improvements
Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and knowledgeable about ELS Operating Principles preferred.
Adaptive, flexible, able to handle ambiguity.
Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas.
Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials.
Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
Support inventory accuracy: Complete warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies
Help manage winding drum and rack inventories
Raw/Finishing warehouse: Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping
Perform all assignments, duties, and tasks in a safe manner following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so. Correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity.
Maintain a safe, clean work area.
Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate department/shift employees to ensure effective operations.
Lead in the recycling of pallets, cardboard, and scrap materials.
Support all 5S housekeeping activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
