About The Position

Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler to join our Distribution Center in Jackson, TN. This position will handle data entry along packages. Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our Distribution Center in Jackson, TN. This position will take completed cartons off of conveyor among other duties.

Requirements

• Ability to read shipping labels
• Proficient in UPS WorldShip
• Extremely detail oriented
• Proficient in typing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Available for overtime as needed
• Ability to operate low rider (preferred)
• High School Diploma (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively when needed
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to follow directions

Responsibilities

• Take completed cartons off of conveyor
• Palletize cartons
• Wrap cartons onto pallet
• Shrink wrap pallets
• Stage pallets on shipping dock
• Floor load trailers
• Operate low rider
• Other duties as assigned
