About The Position

As a Material Handler, you are essential to keeping production moving efficiently and accurately. You will manage the flow of ingredients, packaging supplies, and finished products throughout the facility to ensure smooth operations. This position directly supports manufacturing performance, product quality, food safety compliance, and inventory control. Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • AS400 knowledge
  • 1-2 years of experience operating an industrial powered trucks, primarily sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Supply production lines with required ingredients and packaging materials according to daily production plans
  • Transport finished goods to designated staging or storage areas
  • Properly return excess materials to assigned inventory locations
  • Provide support for shipping and receiving operations as necessary
  • Record material transactions accurately within warehouse systems and documentation logs
  • Adhere to FIFO and FEFO inventory methods to maintain freshness and traceability
  • Examine materials for damage or discrepancies and report findings promptly
  • Assist with physical counts, audits, and reconciliation processes
  • Keep storage areas orderly and clearly identified
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within warehouse and production spaces
  • Follow all GMP standards, food safety regulations, and company safety policies
  • Coordinate with operations, warehouse staff, and supervisors to meet daily objectives
  • Communicate operational issues, material shortages, or safety concerns immediately
  • Participate in shift transition discussions to maintain workflow continuity
  • Support additional operational tasks as business needs require
  • Recommend ideas to enhance material flow and workplace efficiency
  • Contribute to initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, and productivity
  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and ownership in daily responsibilities

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $20 per hour
  • Performance Raises: $0.50 increase after 90 days and an additional $0.50 increase after 6 months
  • Night Shift Premium: $3.00 additional per hour (when applicable)
