About The Position

Background: Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for placing completed material onto a pallet, building, and wrapping the pallets for shipment. The candidate is responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prior working knowledge in a manufacturing, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry, preferred.
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in various weather/temperature conditions to include heat, humidity and cold.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and loud production environment.
  • Ability to handle continuous movement.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require working overtime during high demand.
  • Understand, follow, and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and adherence to defined company policies and procedures, safety rules and SOPs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
  • Attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Load finished goods onto pallets according to product specifications
  • Build and stack pallets for shipment in a safe and organized manner
  • Secure completed pallets using clear stretch wrap
  • Report any product damages or inconsistencies to the shift supervisor promptly
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Support other departments as needed based on production demands
