About The Position

Canam Bridges designs, manufactures and installs steel bridges for major infrastructure contractors across North America. Canam Bridges is a member of Canam Group, which has over 5,100 employees and operates 22 plants in North America, as well as engineering offices in Canada, Romania, India and the Philippines. Job summary: Safe and efficient operation of cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment of raw and fabricated products in the plant and yard areas in accordance with corporate missions and values. Proficiency in safe rigging, crane usage, forklift operation, material handling and storage are fundamental aspects of this position. Essential Functions: Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Load and move materials in and out of storage areas or production staging areas. Inspect and maintain material handling equipment to ensure it is in safe and proper working order. Additionnal responsibilities: Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning, trash/scrap removal, and other production related jobs, such as grinding and drilling. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, coworkers, clients and supervisors. Work in a safe and conscientious manner

Requirements

  • YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years crane operating experience, or crane operation and rigging training
  • Exhibit proficiency in safe rigging and crane operation
