About The Position

As a Material Handler working within Redwood Distribution one of our entities you will be responsible for executing all warehouse activities related to inbound receiving inventory control internal material movement and timely delivery of materials to production lines or work cells This role ensures accurate transactions in the ERP system supports production schedules and maintains a clean safe and organized warehouse environment

Requirements

  • 13 years of warehouse material handling or manufacturing support experience required
  • Experience with inbound receiving inventory control or internal material delivery preferred
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified
  • Familiarity with ERP systems SAP Oracle NetSuite Microsoft Dynamics etc
  • Ability to read pick lists production schedules and inventory documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High degree of accuracy and accountability
  • Problem solving mindset and willingness to support continuous improvement
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound shipments using forklifts pallet jacks or other material handling equipment
  • Inspect verify and document incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Accurately receive materials into the ERP system
  • Apply correct labeling identification and storage requirements
  • Communicate discrepancies damages or shortages to Inventory Control or Purchasing
  • Perform cycle counts bin audits and inventory reconciliations as assigned
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and quantities within the ERP system
  • Support root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure materials are stored safely logically and according to FIFO or customer specific requirements
  • Pick stage and replenish materials for production lines or work cells based on production demands pick lists or kanban signals
  • Transport materials between dock warehouse and production areas using approved equipment
  • Maintain orderly staging areas to ensure efficient line side material presentation
  • Execute all move pick issue or return transactions in the ERP system
  • Process receiving picking issuing returning and inventory adjustment transactions in the ERP system
  • Use handheld scanners tablets or terminals to ensure real time accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records for traceability and compliance requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and follow all OSHA and company safety standards
  • Maintain clean safe and organized work areas aisles racks and staging zones
  • Follow proper PPE guidelines and participate in safety audits or training
