Requirements

  • Previous experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse work preferred
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
  • Frequent climbing, bending, twisting, and lifting of materials up to 55 pounds
  • Occasional handling of heavier loads up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move consistently throughout the shift
  • All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.
  • The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move and handle materials throughout the facility
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment
  • Load/unload incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Verify and document counts, weights, and item details
  • Assist in placing materials into proper storage locations
  • Perform daily equipment checks and light preventative maintenance
  • Help keep warehouse and outdoor areas clean and organized
