About The Position

Prepare outbound materials and jobs for shipment, utilizing proper protection as required. Prepare packing slips and Bills of Lading. Working with Purchasing and sales to coordinate shipping methods. Load and unload trucks, inbound and outbound shipments. Re-organize and keep all areas clean at all times. Track all necessary inventory items for shipping such as bubble wrap, etc. Receive incoming materials, confirming part numbers, quantities and compare against Purchase Orders. Enter receiving data into operating system. Kit materials by job number and keep records of such kitting on pick lists, or place in proper inventory locations. Issue stock materials directly to jobs or assemblers. Assist assemblers in locating missing parts. Set up assemblers’ area for new jobs, move pallets and carts to job area and mount panels to walls. Label and put all incoming wire orders away in their designated area. Remove all excess cardboard from assembler’s area and rotate bins in garbage area. Assist in receiving or shipping at times when one is busier than the other. Essential Job Functions: Operate forklift to move materials safely and efficiently Must have ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Must know Company procedures and be able to train and supervise others. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • One or more years experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Experience with quality procedures, including ISO9001:2000 requirements.
  • Computer literate in basic Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel
  • Able to work in ERP system
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
