Requirements

  • High School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Material Handler experience.
  • Experience making inventory transactions through an ERP system (preferably Epicor E9) and through barcode
  • Requires good communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Requires an eye for detail.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
  • ability to accept constructive criticism
  • ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently
  • ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
  • Forklift Operation.
  • Basic Computer Skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training in Inventory Management, Logistics or material processing.
  • Experience picking and issuing material to Production.
  • APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • With supervision completes Warehousing, Inventory Control, Receiving, Shipping, Product Identification and traceability, and proper material handling and storage tasks.
  • Completes inventory transactions such as transfers, issues, receipts on PC and barcode scanner.
  • With supervision, assists with Inventory Cycle Count Program.
  • Uses continuous improvement program.
  • Complies with safety and hazardous material handling regulations, and requirements for Hazardous Waste Management.
  • Participates in the plant safety program.
  • Maintains all aspects of workplace organization with goal of providing safe and suitable work environment for Mi-Jack employees.
  • Performs other job tasks as requested.
  • Keep work area clean and dispose of any waste as it is created.
  • Provides assistance to other departments, as needed.
  • May be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams and daily Team Meetings.
  • Required to initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times and/or to correct nonconformities.
  • Complies with Quality Management System requirements in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Required to identify opportunities for improvements and submit continuous improvement ideas.
  • Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries; Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.
  • Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).
  • Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.
  • Special projects or work as assigned.
