RJW Logistics Group is hiring a Material Handler for their 2nd shift. The job purpose is to perform loading and unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers, ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse, and pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customers.

Requirements

• EXPERIENCE w/ EPJ & REACH TRUCK REQUIRED
• 6 months - 1 year forkLift driving experience.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.
• Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Loading / unloading truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
• Picking and moving from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.
• Ensure all documentation is properly completed.
• Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies.
• Proper storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.
• Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.
• Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
• General maintenance of are surrounding warehouse.
• Ensure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Process outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Ability to operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Walkie Rider and some sit-down forklift work.
• Follow all safety procedures at all times.
• Must be able to build pallets and break down stock.
• Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
• Must know how to operate a Forklift, Walkie Rider and, Stand-up Reach Forklift.
• Good communication, problem resolution and people skills.
• Ability to maintain orderly operation of warehouse.
