Job Title: Material Handler Department: Warehouse FLSA: Hourly SUMMARY Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products.

Requirements

High school or equivalent education preferred.
Minimum of one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The use of basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios and proportions are required.
Ability to successfully complete the in-house fork truck operation course and obtain appropriate license is required.
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and the ability to effectively present information to all levels of employees including top management in a variety of settings is required.
The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is required.
The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.
The employee is regularly required to stand, talk, walk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stoop and bend.
The employee must seldom lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be available for periodic weekend work.

Responsibilities

Perform daily functions in an accurate and expedited fashion to maintain an efficient and continuous flow of materials, parts, assemblies and/or produce goods between departments. This includes data entry and transactional documentation.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Communicate unresolved issues identified during the shift to the department supervisor and order status and/or special-order requirements to oncoming shift personnel.
Operates a lift truck to move materials in accordance with the stated safety guidelines.
Contributes to ensure continued compliance to company standards.
Performs physical audits, investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies.
Compiles documentation from customer specifications.
Cleans and organizes applicable work area.
Maintains a working knowledge of daily computer system(s).
Maintains a safe and orderly general facility appearance.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Follows the applicable Versatility Chart.
Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures.
