MARSHALLTOWN is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Material Handler who is responsible for transporting materials throughout our NEW Kansas City, Kansas facility, checking inventory levels, and ensuring that all departments in the facility have access to the appropriate materials when needed. Brief Description: Transfers items and materials throughout the distribution center with a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Ensures inventory accuracy using systems such as MTMobility Uses MTMobility to transfer inventory to appropriate locations Operates PIT and other equipment safely throughout the transportation process Communicates issues with materials to supervisors Loads and unload trucks as needed Combines inventory when/where needed Maintains a clean work area Actively ensures that all safety requirements and protocols are met at all times Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate through radio
  • Strong mathematical skills are required
  • Must be able to successfully pass MARSHALLTOWNs Material Handler test and complete PIT certification
  • Computer proficiency using handheld scanners and keyboards
  • Ability to reason, problem solve, and read and write in English
  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, gripping, and reaching as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed
  • Meets harness and SRL (Self Retracting Lifeline) weight capacity limits (130 lbs. - 310 lbs.)

Responsibilities
