About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and productivity. This role supports material handling operations for Low Voltage Assemblies and works collaboratively with team members, flexing into all areas of the warehouse and logistics department as business needs require.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience
  • 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck, i.e. forklift)

  • Relocation is not being offered for this position. Only candidates living within a 50-mile radius of Hodges, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, unload, and retrieve materials in accordance with company safety policies and regulations.
  • Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition.
  • Safely transport materials throughout the facility, including to and from trucks, pallets, and storage locations.
  • Verify delivery accuracy and inspect materials for damage.
  • Complete inventory transactions accurately and timely using the MRP system, including required cycle counts.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), method sheets, safety policies, and WSRA requirements.
  • Use radios or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Dispose of scrap materials (excluding metals) according to established procedures.
  • Flex into other warehouse or logistics areas and perform additional duties as needed to support operations.
