Position Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of products to supply department needs as well as adhering to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that are in effect to assure the quality and quantity of product produced while maintaining professional and team oriented behavior and attitude.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED / or equivalent.
  • Individual should possess basic math and computer skills.
  • Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings, possessing strong communication skills, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Participation and support of 5S initiatives and activities.
  • Ability to interact in a dynamic team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Active involvement in Phenix’s Company mission statement, core values, and non-negotiables.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Determine raw material needs for all lines by reading job tickets.
  • Stock and supply the proper raw materials to the appropriate machines.
  • Receive and stock racks with daily production of product in designated areas in fulfillment.
  • Rotate incoming inventory with existing inventory to ensure the oldest inventory is sent first.
  • Keep isles and floors clean and clear to maintain safety standards of company.
  • Individuals must be able to monitor processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensures the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Any unsafe work conditions are addressed immediately.
  • Ensures adherence to all quality control processes and procedures and actively supports the company’s internal audit program.
  • Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems, and assists in identifying and correcting these problems.
