About The Position

Weld Kitting is an important role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility. This role gathers, organizes and kits parts and/or materials needed for welding manufacturing orders (MO). These prepared materials will then be transferred to weld by material handlers. Execute the daily scheduled production expectations for your specific role provided by industrial tech and/or manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and documentation precisely.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced production environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean, efficient work area.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and able to meet daily production expectations.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of manufacturing orders, bills of materials, and inventory processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify and label all parts and pallets with required information, including manufacturing order (MO), sales order (SO), item number, bill of materials (BOM), and quantity.
• Organize and kit received items according to MO traveler, crate instructions, and consolidation guidelines for efficiency.
• Stage kitted manufacturing orders (MOs) for material handlers to transfer to welding.
• Maintain accuracy of OSEON system status updates throughout daily activities.
• Stage empty pallets at the designated Gatekeeper location.
• Ensure finished kits meet quality standards before release.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of potential hazards.
