About The Position

The CP Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for picking, staging, and delivering materials for/to production. Must be able to lift/Carry, squat/kneel bend crawl climb up to 40+ pounds. This position has been deemed “Safety Sensitive” as defined by the company’s Substance/Alcohol Policy. Work environment is a warehouse requiring steel toed shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection. This environment includes forklift traffic and the moving of heavy parts. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. The employee may be exposed to a variety of temperatures due to (Indoors and Outdoors) seasonal conditions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with familiarity of AS400 software.
  • Must be certified in Company’s Powered Vehicle Operators certification program.
  • Must also complete and pass the Warehouse/Inventory Management Class within 2 classes.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of operational excellence principles, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S is preferred.
