About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment used in telecommunications construction and maintenance projects. This role supports warehouse operations and field execution by ensuring the accurate handling of inventory and the timely staging of materials for crews, job sites, and regional offices. Working closely with the Materials Manager, the Material Handler helps maintain inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and efficient material flow to support Hightower’s operational demands. This position plays an important role in keeping field teams equipped and projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials handling preferred.
Basic computer skills with the ability to enter and track inventory data accurately.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow established processes and maintain accurate records.
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with office staff, warehouse personnel, and field crews.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience in telecommunications, construction, utilities, or a related field service industry.
Familiarity with telecom materials, tools, and field support equipment.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience using inventory management, ERP, or warehouse tracking systems.
