We are currently recruiting a Material Handler to join our dynamic Production Operations team in Edgewood. Work Mode: This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time. Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in storing and distributing materials, parts and supplies. Ensure the security and transportation of materials from warehouse to production in a timely manner that supports operational efficiency goals and client SLA’s (service level agreements). Reports to supervisor.

Requirements

  • Less than high school diploma
  • 1-year relevant experience
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate with team members, internal staff and liaisons
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs. and/or operate equipment for 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to push, pull or move heavy objects
  • Ability to work at open heights of up to approximately 30 feet
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment (ear protection provided and required)
  • Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require working weekends, holidays or overtime.
  • Promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating powered industrial truck preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate transaction flow throughout material delivery process by locating, pulling, preparing, and delivering and returning materials.
  • Safely operates various types of powered industrial equipment.
  • Accurately perform inventory and cycle counts and perform various data entry using RF equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and supplies on production equipment.
  • Ensure appropriate housekeeping, safety and security standards are met
  • May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.
  • Load and unload trucks, perform shipping and receiving functions as necessary and locate and retrieve product from open heights up to approximately 30 feet.
