The Material Handler will receive and inspect incoming and outgoing materials; order and distribute materials. In your role, you will: Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely mannerReceive / visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage (BAS Only)Distribute parts, materials, tools, and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules. May assist in ordering parts if required (BAS only)Verify and reconcile appropriate documentation on incoming and outgoing parts and materialsMaintain accurate inventory (via cycle counts, perpetual, work-in-progress) using computerized / manual systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc. Assist in loading / unloading shipmentsTransport and stock materials from one location to another as required throughout the facilityProvide verbal or written turnovers for oncoming shiftsIssue hand tools, machine tools, dies and / or rental equipment to authorized personnelPerform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in one of the following: o    Warehouse o    Shipping / Receiving o    Tool Crib
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of SAP (or Syteline for Commercial)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the aviation industry
  • Previous experience in material handling
  • Previous Forklift qualified
  • Export shipping experience
  • Hazmat Certification

Responsibilities
