About The Position

A material handler is responsible for moving and handling materials used in the plastic injection molding process Attendance is critical Must have a reliable method of getting to work each day The current shift will be 6:00 pm to 4:00 am (10 hrs / day) Work hours will eventually be 11pm to 8am Attention to detail Must pay very close attention to details so as to not mix material up. Many pieces of material look very much alike, but are very different. Must be able to follow directions Must have some initiative and energy, doesn’t need to be told what to do Must be willing to be trained to operate a fork lift and pallet jacks. Must be able to lift 55# bags of plastic resin Must be able to maneuver a 100# barrel of material onto the barrel tumbler and fasten it Must be willing to work to help keep a safe and clean work environment. Must have basic math skills Must be fluent in English, speaking and writing Must have good penmanship and able to write legibly High school diploma or equivalent The candidate will also be filling hoppers with plastic resin, chopping and regrinding material for recycling.
